Forest bathing mean immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the forest with all your senses. Originally from Japan and know as “Shinrin Yoku”, it is a recognized method for reducing stress and enhancing well-being. Numerous studies show that spending time in the forest and in nature generally lowers heart rate and blood pressure, reduces stress hormones, strengthens the immune system, and improves concentration. The fresh, oxygen-rich air, the essential oils of the tress, and the peaceful surroundings promote relaxation and regeneration – both physically and mentally. Forest bathing is not a sport, but a mindful experience of nature – an invitation to let go of everyday life, take a deep breath and recharge your energy.
